Assignment DescriptionsProject A:Students will create a poster that provides a visual representation of their interpretation of key concepts from the readings. * “Steel Axes for Stone-Age Australians” by Lauriston Sharp (Culture and Conflict, pp. 389 – 403) * “Technology and Heterogeneous Engineering: The Case of Portuguese Expansion,” by John Law (The Social Construction of Technical Systems, pp. 111 – 134)Project B:Students will develop a case study for an innovation in the form of a presentation.Project C:Students will develop an investment pitch for an invention and evaluate each other’s inventions in economic terms.Project D:Students will develop an original case study of an innovation.Discussions:Unit discussions are designed to engage your thinking about the readings as well as your interaction with other students in the course.
